Delete emails

When I try to delete an email from the Inbox, I get an error message. The
email is apparently deleted, but the header still remains in view. I had the
same problem with a single email last year, but ignored it until it magically
went away one day. I tried a fix from other threads, but didn't work.
Filling up fast.
