delegate authority to create shares on file server

Greetings All,

I need to grant the Help Desk personell the ability to create shares on one
of my W2K file servers but I don't want to add them to the local
administrators group. Can anyone point me in the right direction for doing
this?

I do not believe it is possible.

There is no way to allow them to do such as a regular user. They would need to be at
least power users which would also give them some extra rights such as the ability to
create non admin users and groups and install more software. --- Steve
