Delays when browsing form Office apps

Hello,

We are running Windows 2000 and still on Office 97. A lot
of our users are having delays when they try to browse by
going to the file, open and they in the "look in" drop
down box when they click on it it hangs for about 20-30
seconds. Any help would be appreciated.

a lot off this type of issue can be fixed by applying the latest
service packs (server / client and Office application )
