Delays after launching Office products in Vista

Whether it's Outlook 2003, Word, Excel, or IE7, I have to wait nearly 20
seconds after launching before I can do anything in the app., or I get a "not
responding."

Any help for this?

Hi,
Have you installed the Office 2007 Technical Refresh? It doesn't work well
in VISTA without it.

BTW--I'm using Office 2003. Does this download apply to that? It says 2007?

I'm sorry, guess I wasn't paying to much attention to the years. I was
refering to Office 2007. I appologize for the confusion.

Okay.
So...any other ideas? I wonder if anyone else has had a problem with this.
It seems ironic that only MS software has this issue. Word Perfect and Corel,
etc. are fine.

What is it? its an update to Office 2007 Beta 2. In a nutshell it makes
Office 2007 compatible with Windows Vista.

I can't stress enough how important this upgrade is for Office 2007 under
Vista.

Ah, sorry.

Before the Tech Refresh for Office 2007 hit, I was using Office 2003.

Can you see if there are any errors in your event logs under Applications?

Do you have multiple network cards?

I don't have any network cards, just a built-in ethernet card on the
motherboard.

I searched on Event Logs and got nothing dated post-Vista install.

Is it possible to do a reinstall of Office 2003?

Do you have SP2 installed for Office 2003 and all the hot fixes?

Actually, I have some news since my last post. I have 2 Maxtor external
drives, one of which is 3 years old. While it was showing up a week ago when
I first got this system, it suddenly became "local drive" and I could no
longer access it. I just unplugged both drives and voila, the delay has
disappeared. I think the older of the drives, which contains all my videos,
is about to take a dive : (

This problem is occur when your system have lots of virus attack. Or you should have to convert your office products from 2003 to 2007 or 2010.

yes if you have SP2 in your system then you can easily reinstall Office 2003 in your PC.
