Delay when typing repeat characters.

This is a strange one!
Using a Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard w/ XP Pro. Leaned
on the keyboard accidentally, and now, when I try to
type, I have to wait 2-3 seconds before I can repeat a
letter. All keys function, I just cannot type 2 'n' s for
example, without waiting, same is true for backspacing,
etc.

I have uninstalled the keyboard driver as well as the
Intelitype Software, and I have sucesfuly tested the
keyboard on another machine, as well as trying another
working keyboard on this machine and experienced the same
problem with the secondary keyboard.

So, I believe it is a setting in windows. The Repeat and
Repeat delay settings have no effect.

Any ideas?!

Control Panel -> Accessibility Options -> 'Keyboard' tab -> make sure 'Filter Keys' is not checked.

Control Panel>Accessibility options...>Keyboard tab. Be sure "Filter Keys"
is unmarked.

Control Panel>Keyboard>Speed tab. Move "Repeat delay" and "Repeat rate" to
the right.

These are simplest possible fixes for what you describe.
