For a better, faster response, try posting this issue to a group that is
specific to the version of Windows you are using. This is an OS issue, and
is not related to Internet Explorer 6 - the newsgroup you posted to.
If you are using Windows XP, you must be logged on as an Administrator to
use the defrag tool.
Or, that shortcut may have become corrupted. Right click on it and choose
properties. On the Shortcut tab -
Target - %SystemRoot%\System32\dfrg.msc
Start In - C:\WINDOWS\System32
Shortcut key - None
Run - Normal Window
Comment - Defragments your volumes so that your computer runs faster and
more efficiently.
