Nope, defrag only affects the filesystem, and doesn't actually modify
anything in Windows or any application. Supposedly Windows has a
self-cleaning registry now. However, using such software, like Spybot -
advanced scan showed me about 50 invalid entries. I'm concerned about having
Spybot or anything "fix" those keys though.
Defragging does *nothing* to the contents of any individual
files. All it does is take files that are in several piecesa nd
put those pieces closer together, so they can be accessed faster.
