For some reason I cannot find the Accessories program group in my start
menu, I probably dragged it into some other group.
Where is the .exe file for defrag held, I want to create a shortcut on my
desk top

thanks

Daniel

Perform the following:

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select: NEW > SHORTCUT
2. In the Create Shortcut window, type in: %SystemRoot%\System32\dfrg.msc , and click "Next"
3. In the next window, type in: Disk Defragmenter , and click "Finish"
4. A Disk Defragmenter shortcut icon will appear on your Desktop.

Try searching for the folder [Press Win Key+F]. If you find it then:-
Open explorer.
Go to: C:/Documents and Settings/Your user name/Start Menu/Programs.
Cut & paste the Accessories folder into the program one.

Right click on blank area of your desktop>New>Shortcut>type the location
of the item -%SystemRoot%\System32\dfrg.msc >next>give the name of the
shortcut>finish.
