Are you sure it is stopping? It is normal for it to stay there for a fairly
long time. Have you let it sit for about 10 minutes to see if it progresses?
Try turning off 'Restore' prior to defragging. You lose your previous
restore points but as long as you remember to re-enable it after you should
soon re-establish fresh restore points. I had the identical problem and this
certainly worked for me.
