Jim

Is there any way I can do a 'complete' defrag of my hard drive.

I do it regularly using Windows defrag, but there are still several files
left at the end of the HD, with a gap in the middle. Defragmentation status
is 0%.

Thanks

Hi Jim,

Some files are not meant to be moved. This is normal and you should not
attempt to "fix" this.

actually it is pretty funny what people consider a defragged hard drive to
me the best is all the files are contiguous with lots of "holes" in between.
This allows the files to grow with becoming fragmented.

The whole idea of wanting all the files packed at the beginning of the drive
is short sighted.
