DEFRAG paused for Volume Shadow Copy

Everytime I attempt to defrag my hard drive, it stops and gives me the
statement "paused for volume shadow copy".

How can I get passed this so I can properly defrag my drive ?

This is explained in the link with my previous post:

Note if the Volume Shadow Copy service (VSS) is activated while a defrag
is performed, then the defragger might stop before it is completed. VSS
is activated when a backup operation is being performed, so either wait
for this operation to complete or disable the VSS momentarily while
running defrag.
