Defrag of floppy diskette w/ XP

Can anyone tell me how to defrag a floppy diskette. I
used to be able to do it quite simply with Windows 98 and
ME but, now with XP I keep getting the error message that
says "Disk Defragmenter cannot run on this volume
type" ???

I don't think it was ever possible to defrag a floppy. Why would you want to?

You cant. And no, win98 did not have that option either.

That is one of the few things that the old Norton Utilities will still do
over the likes of Diskeeper and PerfectDisk.

If you can get your hands on a copy of Norton Utilities 2002 or newer, get
it and try the Speedisk on your floppy needs.

No, problem. I did a fair bit of research on this once and Norton Utilities
2002 (the one I actually have) is the only utility that will do this in
Windows 2000 or XP. Diskeeper (which I also have because it's much faster
than Norton's Speedisk) and PerfectDisk will not defragment floppies.
