Disable "Automatically Restart" and run defrag. Let it report the actual
error instead of rebooting the system
By default, the computer is configured to automatically restart during a
fatal error. To view this setting, right-click My Computer, click the
Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery, and then view the
Automatically restart check box under System Failure.
** Uncheck "Automatically restart" box. **

I run Defrag in Win XP Home edition. It gets to about 3%
and the computer restarts. Help
