I have RELIGIOUSLY been attempting to download and install this definitions
update, if I try to update via windows defender; a popup tells me; windos
defender is connecting to the internet to updatebdefinitions and update
engines (or words to that effect) then another popup announces; windows
defender is up-to-date with definitions and upgrade engines. BUT IT IS NOT,
WD still tells me I haven't updated in the last 15 days. (oh but I have). So
not being detered I tried and tried windows updates, it says; High-priority
updates, Microsoft Windows Defender, Definition Update 1.14.1353.2 for BETA
Windows Defender (KB915597) so I download and install it, win updates tells
me it has been installed sucessfully, even my update history says it
wasvupdated sucessfully, over and over again, but defender still sits there
in my system tray with its little exclaimation mark stating otherwise!!!

can anyone solve this problem? (asides uninstalling WD) BIG THX in advance...
I am useing win xp pro sp2, pentium4, 2gig ram & ie7 deta

Mine is doing all most the same thing. mine will update with windows update.
but after I reboot the computer, windows one care reports there are updates
and again its the (Definition Update 1.14.1353.2 for BETA Windows Defender
(KB915597) its does this all day all so I uninstalled and reinstalled windows
defender. with no luck I would say the update is buggy
