defining an auto text entry?

that site showed me how to create an auto text entry what does it mean to
define an auto text entry does it just mean to create one
 
Yes, define and create are synonyms (at least in this particular
case). Do you have specific questions about a newsgroup message or
article which uses "define"?

Yeah the question as part of my tafe practice assessment for design and
develop texts asks me to use manuals, documentation and online help to look
up 2 topics and i have to record my findings one of those topics being
"Defining an AutoText entry" so obviously the topic is creating an auto text
entry
