Defender Splat

Why is there a splat on the defender icon in my system sray ?
I just installed and updated and scanned my system and still have the splat.
I clicked the update button again and it responded that the program and
definitions are up-to-date but still have the splat even after rebooting.

Yes - exactly the same problem. It won't go away!!

I have the same problem but when I click check for updates I get absolutely
nothing. It doesn't tell me my files are up to date. Nothing but that
annoying message that my definitions are 63 days old.

Hi,
Just got rid of the splat by removing the signature file (run - Msiexec
/x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C} and updating again from the help
icon.
Hooray!!!
