Defender says I haven't scanned in 4 days ... and I have!

Good morning,

The last two days when I turn on my computer the Windows Defender Icon in my
Task Bar is greyed out with an Orange circle on top of it with a Black
Explamation Mark in the middle.

When I open the program it says I haven't scheduled a scan in 3 days
(yesterday) and now today it says I haven't scheduled a scan in 4 days.

The problem is I have been running scheduled quick scans at 8 p.m. for about
six weeks now.

Any ideas how to correct this Defender misunderstanding?

Hi Engel,

I think you misunderstood my question. I am NOT having problems with
updating the program. I am having trouble getting it to acknowledge I have
and am still running a daily scan.

Here is my original post again:
