I am looking on how to set MS Word so that everytime I open it the document displays in a Normal View and not in Print Layout View

Can anyone help me with this?

The way it is supposed to work is you select the view you want, then close
Word. When you re-open it, it will open back up the same way. Two things
can prevent this:

1. A document that is opened has Print Layout View as it's default. This is
saved in the document and will open up the way it was last saved.

2. Your global template (normal.dot) is locked and when you change your
setting to Normal View, close Word, then re-open Word, it can't update this
global template. usually you will get a message stating as such. So that
probably isn't the case.

Hope this helps!
