default template path for PowerPoint 2003

Could someone tell me where to set the default template path for version
2003? We have some templates we'd (ideally) like to keep and maintain on the
network as we do our Word workgroup templates. Is this even possible?

Thanks

Just do a search on your computer for *.pot files, the find will take you
there

The coolest&hottest powerpoint Add-in

PowerPoint comes with a gallery of design templates to choose from, but
you can also create a template of your own and add it to the Slide
Design task pane. Starting from a blank design, you can apply such
elements as a background and color scheme, font style, layout (layout:
The arrangement of elements, such as title and subtitle text, lists,
pictures, tables, charts, AutoShapes, and movies, on a slide.), and
art.
The template is saved to the Templates folder. (This is the folder that
PowerPoint uses by default when you select Design Template as the file
type in the Save As dialog box.Typically, it's located at "\Documents
and Settings\%CurrentUser%\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates")

Hope this can help!

Locate the template folder PPT currently uses (save a PPT file as a template and
look where it wants to save it)

If you create a subfolder there and populate it with at least one template, PPT
should recognize it and make the templates available.

So try putting a *shortcut* to your workgroup templates folder in that folder.
Might just do the trick.
