Default settings in Outlook 2007?

Whilst setting up a clean install of office 2007, I was entering the details
for my hotmail account in outlook, when it crashed. I had to restart, but te
hotmail account appeared in my mail folders. I clicked the inbox, and there
was nothing there, so I went to the account settings to check everything was
OK, but the hotmail acount isn't listed in my email accounts although there
is a PST file!
I have tried to remove the folders, delete the PST file, uninstall office,
and then clean the registry before re installing, but I can't see to get rid
of it (tried the PSt repair tool as well). I'm quite happy to lose all my
email accounts and have to re enter them manually if needs be, but I can't
seem to find a way of defaulting outlook.
Is there a way to do this, or just delete the hotmail account so I can set
it up properly. (I also tried setting it up again, but I ended up with 2 sets
of hotmail folders, one of which worked, one didn't!)
