default search

my default search engine has been altered. It used to be msn but now when I
click search in Internet explorer, Mysearch appears in the left side. How do
I change this? I've tried using spyware and adware removal and it says I
have none. Also, I searched for Mysearch in the harddrive but no results. It
is not listed under add or remove programs in the control panel.

To uninstall MySearch or MyWebSearch first close all open browser windows.
Then click 'Start' menu, then select 'Control Panel' and open the
'Add/Remove Programs' option. Find "My Search Bar" in the list of programs,
and click 'Change/Remove' and follow the prompts to remove them. Other
components to look for and remove are:

a.. My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
b.. My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
c.. My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
d.. My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
e.. Search Assistant - My Way

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot and HijackThis:

Note: Update each program, once installed, before running.

Note2: To avoid the False-Flag for the DSO Exploit (W3), open
Spybot/Advanced Mode/Settings/Ignore Products. On the All Products Tab,
scrol to DSO Exploit and check that item only. Randy (silj)
