Default Legal Paper

I have a report that I want to print on Legal paper every time. It will only
print on legal if the default printer is the same one that was selected at
the time that I changed the paper size. When a user prints to a different
printer (their default printer) the paper size is letter. I want the paper to
be legal every time. I cannot have the report properties changed in design
mode at the time of print because the file type is mde. If VBA has to be used
I am fine with that. The database is in 2000 format, 2002 is not installed. I
would have thought that this was a simple task but apparently I am not the
only person that has had trouble with this.

This article talks about doing some of the functions in design mode. The file
is a MDE file so the user will not be able to have anything in design mode.

Quite correct. That won't work in an MDE.
