Default internet connection

Broken Hill

Hi
I suspect that upgrade of Internet Explorer has affected above.
I now have to manually restore connection through :
Start>Settings>Network>Connect; when I log out the default connection is
broken.
I have tried various remedies without success.
Please note that the other user on this PC does not have the same problem
although curiously she does now not appear to have to log in to access her
Yahoo Mail!
How I can I make the connection "stick"?
Thanks in anticipation

Hi Jack
Thanks for your response.
I have a Broadband dial-up connection using an ADSL modem.
Does this help?

Hi
Most DSL connections use ID and Password to authenticate the connection.
If a Modem/Router combo is used the authentication is done via the Router.
If No Router is involved the authentications is done via software.
Check how your authentication works, and set the Browser accordingly to
default to the active connection.
