default homepage

Each time I access the internet, no matter which web address I type, it automatically comes up with www.hugesearch.net. I did not save this setting on my computer yet it is still listed as my default homepage and I cannot change it. I ran a virus scan but it did not solve the problem. I am currently running Stinger virus but this doesnt seem to be doing anything either. Can anybody help?

Someone told me to - 'Check your C:\WINDOWS\I386\host file. Open it in Notepad and remove any reference to the web page ot it's servers IP' - I tried this found the I386 file but could not get any further

I need more details!! Help !!

Try a scan for "intruders". These utils should detect them, and opt for
their removal...
