Default home page problem

M

Mike

I am running Win ME and IE6.
Something changes my default home page, my current home
page and search page daily to www.global-finder.com using
a long string of code to redirect it there.
Several times I have used the the internet options tabs
and I have even edited the registry by deleting every key
refering to this site. It comes back every time the date
changes (including if I manually change the date in
Windows.) I have looked through the autoexec.bat,
config.sys, win.ini, system.ini, msconfig and the
scheduler, but I can't find anything that is set to run to
cause this. I have Norton antivirus 2003 with current
updates and it has never found a virus.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks.

The problem is due to a spyware. Download Ad-Aware from
www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate the malware products.
Re-apply the above fix if necessary.
** Remember to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **
