Hello:
I am using Yahoo as my default home page and lately it
has converted to (%69%71%,...about blank) I change it
manually in the field, but when I restart the computer it
doesn't hold and returns to the other search engine. It
appears to be written somewhere else in my .ini files
somewhere. How do I change it and make it stay? The old
days I used to go into config.sys and autoexec.bat or
win.ini files and delete the errored line. This windows
XP is a little more complicated. Please help...
Thanks,
Scott Rocco

Check your system for Spyware, using somee app AdAware... those like to get
in and mess up your "homepage."

First eliminate any scumware.
See

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
