Default Gateway suddenly missing

N

Neal E. Henzler

Windows 2000 Small Business Server, SP4. At initial
installation, server had two network adapters and ISA
server installed, both since removed. Twice now, in the
last two months (server was installed in April 2003), the
default gateway on the single NIC just disappears,
confirmed by entering ipconfig from a command prompt.
Network Properties of the NIC still show the entered
default gateway. A reboot of the server resolves the
problem. Ideas? No luck searching Google or MS Support
site. Thanks!

Why did you remove the second nic and ISA? Especially ISA is very worthwhile
for SBS.
Can you post the ipconfig/all please? How are you connecting to the
internet?
