Default full-screen message display?

Default full-screen message display?
When I click on an e-mail message I want to read, is there some way to set
the default so it displays the message full screen, rather that having to
select full-screen for each message? (Outlook e-mail messages automatically
came up full-screen on my old system, using ME. The new XP system brings up
the small window for the messages. Can't find a way to change it.)

Open a new message. Stretch it to the size you want. Close it. Open a
new one and voila!
