Default formatting for endnotes

I would like to set up endnotes so that they are numbered 1, 2, 3, etc.,
instead of i, ii, iii. I looked in the Styles and Formatting, as well as teh
Insert>Reference window, but didn't see any way to change the formatting--not
just for the current document, but globally. How can this be done?

Thanks, Suzanne. It took me a while to get it--I first went to a link on teh
page you linked to--one by Shauna Kelly on modifying styles. The page you
linked to simply gave me instructions on how to find/open normal.dot; from
there, I simply went to the Insert/Reference/Footnote dialog box, and changed
teh way endnotes are referenced. I did hit save, which saved my changes to
the template and not to a new file. Thanks again. This will save me quite a
few clicks.
