Default font for text boxes

I've set my default font to Arial 10. All my documents now start out in that
font. I've been told that this should also change the font in my text boxes,
but they all come out in Times New Roman. Is there another way to change the
default font for text boxes?

How are you changing the default font? If you are clicking the Default
button in the Font dialog box, Word modifies the Normal style of the
current document and its attached template--and since text boxes have
the Normal style applied, you should get the desired result.

Oh "pbth!"

That is the only way I know to change the default font, so I know that's the
way I did it originally. I went back in and changed it to something else,
then changed it back and, of course, it works.

I'll be kinder to those asking me questions next time. I've never believed
the "it will work now because the tech is here" answer. Guess there is some
truth to it.

Thanks Stefan.
