In Windows 2000, is there any way to change the default folder that
Windows opens up to when I open Explore from right-clicking on the
Start button? At work, mine always opens to the Start Menu folder
under my login directory, but we keep most of our work on the K:
drive. It's just extra work to always have to change to the folder I
use most often.

And if your command says, "explorer /e,k:\" then Explorer
opens the folder tree window as well.

The other answers you've received should be helpful, but they don't answer
the question you actually asked. No, it's not possible to change that
default.

I personally prefer to use a shortcut on the Quick Launch bar. It's even
easier to get to than Start/Explore is, and it goes just where I want it
to,
