default file location changes

when i set up excel to open upon logging into my work
domain, my deafult file location field keeps getting reset.
if i open excel manually, i don't have this problem.
i believe it's a registry thing but i'm not sure.
any thoughts?
 
How do you "set excel to open upon logging into my work domain." In
otherwords, how are you opening excel in this instance.
