Default file icon displayed for .htm file type

After having a problem or two with Internet Explorer over the past couple
days, I now find that all .htm or .html files are displayed with the default
file icon in Windows Explorer. (The default file icon is the one displayed
for files with no extensions.) Via Folder Options | File Types, I edited the
..htm file type definition to use the same icon as Norton Ghost, just to see
if the problem was a damaged Iexplore.exe file, but .htm files still display
the default file icon. So now I am imagining a Registry problem, but I don't
know what to edit or how otherwise to address this. Anyone?

Thanks a bunch, Wes. The basic reset through Folder Options did not work,
but the VBS script did. It was a thing of beauty!
