Default Domain Policy...

Hello; I am having a problem with AD. We have been
running a W2k Domain in native mode for some time and i
have started putting together some Group Policies, and
then to publish some applications. My problem is (and i
can only decribe this as weird) is that if i add a new GPO
to any OU while logged onto a particular domain controller
(our first one which does pretty much everything-used to
be a PDC) it will only open the default domain policy. If
i then go to another DC and do the same thing i can create
any policy i like, although when i test it, nothing has
happened (i.e. remove Run from Start Menu). I am a full
administrator (when doing things to the default domain
policy i can change anything i like - on the first DC)
My question is mainly, has anyone ever come across this
sort of thing, or is there a tool to help me start to
troubleshoot this quagmire of an AD?

Hi,

Can you elaborate what happens when you try to open a GPO other than the
default policy from your PDC Emulator (e.g. error messages)?

No error messages, i can change all GPOs, update from any
machine with AD connectors installed on and all the
changes appear to replicate to the other DC. They appear
tto replicate to the pdc emulator because the gpo names
are shown. I just cannot edit them! Nothing appears in
any event logs.

Does this help?

I still don't understand what is going on. How are you trying to edit them?
You say that you can make changes, yet, later on you say that you cannot.
