Default directory for saving attachments

Are there any settings you can change so when you receive an e-mail with an
attachment and you choose Save As to save the attachment, that it can take
you straight through to a specified folder, rather than the temporary folder?

A colleague of mine saves every attachment and is looking for a quicker way.

As he uses Office 2003, I have suggested creating a shortcut to his folders
in the Places Bar in the Save As dialog box but am wondering if there is an
even easier way by default.

Thank you.
