default cookie blocking settings?

R

riverman

I have my privacy settings adjusted so that I am prompted as to
whether or not I want to accept cookies from a website. However, the
default in the popup 'Privacy Alert' window is to allow the
cookie...in other words, the pointer is automatically pointing at that
button, so to block the cookie, I have to move the pointer over to the
next button.

Its a tiny detail, but the problem is that sometimes I accidentally
hit 'enter' when I am clicking too fast, and it selects the default
'allow cookie'. Is there a way I can set the default so that the
pointer is automatically poised to 'block cookie' in the Privacy Alert
window?

Thanks

Hi river man

I understand here the issue cookies set to prompt where we can make it as
alway allow so that you wont get any of prompt to block or allow.

It common in interent explorer 6.0 and 7.0.

Step to proceed:

1. open internet explorer

2. click on start--->run

3. type the commmand inetcpl.cpl, you will be getting interent properties
window

4. Click on PRIVACY tab and click on ADVANCED button in the middle of windows.

5. Click on ACCEPT for both first party and third party.

6. Put check mark for "OVER RIDE AUTOMATIC COOKIES HANDLING" and "ALWAYS
ALLOW SESSION COOKIES"

7. Click OK and click OK in interent properties windows, close and reopen
internet explorer you wont get the same prompting message again.
