Default browser search engine

A virus of something from a site I visited changed the
default Microsoft search engine of my browser to something
else. It gives no clue to the source or company that
produced it. How can I get the Microsoft search engine
back so that it gives me the opitons of Dictionary,
Encyclopedia, etc? Thanks.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
