Default browser problem

Hello All,

When I click on any application or anything that requires the opening of the
browser it opens up IE instead of my default browser which is AVANT which
is an IE based browser. Can anybody suggest a reason for this? Or how to
remedy this situation. I would also like to turn on Active X controls as
this invariably blocks scripts or other things from running.

For the browser, try setting your default in the program access and
defaults. You should find this in the Start/ Set Program Access and
Defaults.

First, in Internet Explorer: Tools, Internet Options, Programs, uncheck the
checkmark at the bottom. Close IE.

In the Avant settings, check to make it your default browser.

The problem you are having is that Avant runs both, with IE's settings
running last. If you don't uncheck the IE setting, Avant with set it back as
soon as it runs, regardless of how you set Avant.
