default border color

On a few of my worksheets I save and use again I am unable to select a border
without having to change “color†from “automatic†to “blackâ€. How can I make
“black†my default color so I can select a border without it being unseen?
I’d like to make it black for the whole worksheet so I can make a border
wherever I want on the sheet w/o having to change the color each time.

Hi,

The default border color is black? It changes when you set another border
to a color other than black.

I'm not sure why you are having a problem. More detail necessary.

I like to use the border icon on the toolbar but when I select a box or line
it will not show unless I to Format>Cell>Border and change the border color
from "automatic" to black. I never change the color of a border. Sometimes
it works perfect on a worksheet, then I open another worksheet and it won't.
I'd like to make the border color black on ALL new and old wrkshts like you
would change the font and type size for all. Is that possible? What causes
it to go to Automatic and not place a box you can see?
Thanks for your time!
