Default Appointment Reminder set to 18 hours

Everytime I schedule a new appointment in Outlook 2003 Calendar, the default
reminder is always set to 18 hours. I've already tried going to Tools,
Options, Preferences, checking the default reminder and setting it to 0
minutes, but that doesn't seem to change the new appointments. Please advice.

Karen, Im having the same problem. this seems to only happen on a public
folder calendar. tools, options, preferences only seem to modify personal
calendar items. Just for pinpointing the error i have an exchange 2003 sp1
server with outlook 2003 client. it seems to be company wide as well. please
post if you get any updates.

New events are always set to 18 hours - it is a hard coded default.
