Default application setting for opening JPEG files

How can I change the default setting for opening my JPEG files. I removed
the software that would normally open the files. Know when I double click
the file I get an error message.
 
In windows explorer -> Tools->Folder options->file types- >select jpeg and
select the application you want to open it with
