Decrypting Files

Hi,

I have two HDD, I encrypted some files in one of my
drives, the i had some problems with my main HDD and I
had to format it and install windows xp again. Now when
I try to open the encrypted files in the old drive i'm
not able. I tried creating the same user name that i had
before but i still can't open the file. It says access
denied. I tried decrypting it using the cipher but i'm
still unable to decrypt.

Do you know if there is a way or are those files gone
forever.

If you do not have access to your personal encryption certificate
(with its associated private key), you won't be able to use your
encrypted files. No back door exists, nor is there any practical
way to hack these files.
(If there were, it wouldn't be very good encryption.)
