Debugging and ITunes not initializing

I have been getting debugging error messages (I have already followed advice
posted elsewhere about disabling script debugger- and have no idea what
debugger means despite my desparate attempts to research the term).
Simultaneously iTunes will not open anymore (on Windows XP). Also followed
advice posted elsewhere about right-clicking iTunes icon and "run as" another
user - did not work. It might be worth mentioning that I had tried to
download RealPlayer10, and I think it caused the whole problem. So, I did
System Restore twice without resultl. Is my computer completely "buggered"?
Do I have to reinstall Windows one more time...any bright ideas?
Cheers,
Dana
