Hi Steve,

I don't know why then, as it sounds like all the settings for creation are
correct. Without one to analyze, diagnosing a driver error is somewhat
problematic. Are there any other details you can capture from the stop error
screen?

Rick,

Thought I'd bring you up to date. I came across a problem in a forum which
linked Kaspersky AV with a 0x0000008e error. Also, after upgrading to their
security suite my MailWasher Pro kept hanging. On 23rd December I
uninstalled Kaspersky and installed AVG Pro again. ...........

I'm now on day 9 since doing that and I've yet to have a 0x0000008e or any
other STOP error. 8e had been occurring between 1 & 3 times daily. This
could well be tempting fate but it's a huge step up in stability terms. So
again, not really a fault of MS's and not a hardware fault.

Thank you ever so much for your time and patience, I really appreciate it.

Happy New Year.

Steve
