I suggest you do a complete system scan using your AV and
spyware/malware/adware program. I use a multy layer approach. I have Avast
with real time scanning and bit defender and I also scan using Adaware. TTFN.

The Problem's on the other end.

Unexpected shut downs are NOT a good thing. ONe potential culprit is
heat, another is power, and the third possibllity is RAM. Because this
problem only ocurred after the installation of a webcam (which draws
some power) I would suspect that the other person's computer has an
insufficient power supply. Or did the other person have a webcam
before?

Just to cover the bases, have the other person download and run a copy
of memtest86+ from the conveinently-named www.memtest.org. It won't
hurt fdor you to do it either. Also you want to have the other person
open up the computer, and look for bulging or leaking capicitors. (They
look like soda cans, and are for power regualtion).

In my experience, Unexpected shutdowns will only get worse if not found
and treated.
