Dear all,
I wondder What the purpose of Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service on Windows
2000 Professional is? Is there any problem if I stop it?

What about Distributet Transaction Coordinator service? can I stop it?

I would like to know about this because my Security Scanner keeps warning me
about this fpr host on the network...

RPC is probably the 3rd or 4th most important service in
windows. Besides, it is an necessary part of windows and
cannot be stopped.
