Hello,
I disabled the IISADMIN Service and now i getting this error in event viewer:
DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled
or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to
start the service IISADMIN with arguments "" in order to run the server:

How do I get DCOM Server Process Launcher to stop trying to start "IISADMIN?"

Hi,
yes it is. I think in XP Pro you can simply uninstall the IIS to solve the
problem. In this XPe image i need the IIS later, but he service must be
disabled now.
I need to delete the IIS Service from the DCOM Server Process Launcher
"Startlist"

I solve it with the dcomcnfg.exe command. In this
configuration window you can disable the launch of the IIS Admin Service.

Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCom Config > IIS Admin Service
right click > Properties > Location > disable "Run App on this computer"

Ahh. I see.

Glad you fixed the problem. The dcomcnfg.exe utility is indeed way to go.
However, on my XP Pro machine I didn't care about those event log errors when I disabled IIS.
