DCC with another cmptr. with Win98SE

I am attempting to move files from my old lap top with
Win98SE to my new desktop with WinXP via a cross-over
ethernet style cable. Setting up the connection on the
guest XP was smooth as was the host 98SE, however they do
not seem to be able to connect. Any tips?
