I have two dc computers one-dc and two-dc I want to demote the two-dc them

I do dcpromo and I get this error

Directory Sevice failed to replicated off changes made locally

"The DSA operation is unable to proceed because of a DNS lookup failure. "

the tcpip is configured dns point to dc-one ip and wins is the same this is

I had the same issues and this worked for me.

- Open DNS and set the Dynamic Updates to "nonsecure and secure".
- Exit DNS
- try your demotion again.
If that fails, go to a DOS window and type:
net stop netlogon <enter>
When it stops type:
net start netlogon <enter>

Try your demotion again and it should be fine.

Johnny.
