Need a little verification here.
I have two DC's in my Win2k Network.
I want to demote the main DC and take it out of inventory. By "Main" I
mean, FSMO, Global catalog server, the works. It was the first DC in the
Domain.
Will running DCpromo do everything, or will I have to transfer everything
before I demote the server. I know that after demoting, I would have to
manually select the remaining DC as the Global Catalog server, but is it
better to do this before demoting? Should I transfer the FSMO or will
DCpromo to that?
By the way, the servers are both AD controllers.
Any insight is appreciated.
